At the culmination of another busy but rewarding year in “Life
Skills”, students in years 3-6 today enjoyed their end of year Christmas
Lunch. “Life skills” affords students the opportunity to learn about
and participate in a series of practical, skill based classes including
cooking, crafts, health and nutritional education, team work,
perseverance, table etiquette and social skills.
As an end of year celebration, the students together with Mrs Duthie
and Jack prepared a delicious, traditional Christmas roast lunch,
home-made ice cream with fresh fruit for dessert and a Christmas cake.
Students also decorated the room, set the table and invited their class
teachers as well as some special guests to join them for lunch with all
the trimmings. Students then hosted the lunch by seating the guests,
serving the lunch and cleaned up with the help of Mrs Duthie.
A fabulous time was had by all and a big thanks and congratulations
to all students involved for their hard work and for a very enjoyable
lunch. Special thanks to Mrs Duthie and Jack for their efforts and
tireless work with the students throughout the year. Well done Brandon,
Liam, Olivia, Jack, Lucas, Judith and KyKy (absent)!
