Year 6/7T are studying different types of averages during Maths investigations. They are mean, median and mode. The mean is when you add all the scores and divide the answer by the number of scores. The median is the middle number of a set of scores and the mode is the most frequent number in a set of scores. In this investigation we worked out the average qualities of a Junction Park Year 7 student. The characteristics we chose were the resting pulse, height, arm span, hair colour, eye colour, number of people in the family, number of pets, day of the week born, length of lower leg and skin colour.
