The Doily Project was a truly amazing community gatherer. The intricate stitching celebrating our wonderful school and the stories told along the way were fabulous. The joy people felt as they stitched words to celebrate our school were heartfelt. There was amazement and excitement as each piece of love felt wonder arrived at school. The beauty and love in each unique piece was precious. Thank you to every grandmother, parent, friend and student who contributed to this special project.
The doilies were lovingly stitched together by Kathy (Ruby Year 5’s mum). They’ll soon find pride of place somewhere special in our school. Some doilies will grace Mrs Wood’s office. What a magnificent gesture of beauty and creativity to commemorate our school in its 125th year.
to the amazing Theme Team!
Didn’t our beautiful old tree look magnificent dressed up and ready to party for our fete? The theme team worked long and hard to ensure our fete looked magnificent on the big day. The doily bunting was spectacular. The doily trees were a work of art. The crocheted heart necklaces lovingly made by Talitha (Kayla’s Mum) sold out in no time. Ky’s heart balloons with instant portraits were a hit with the kids. Nicole (Dylan, Nedd and Pixi’s Mum) and her amazing rainbow and child artwork – awesome!
Thank you a million times to all the special creative artistic people who make JPSS colourful and spectacular. The only way is up!
