What is it?
Junction Park Jets Swim Club is a fun and friendly club operating on Friday nights where children are encouraged to get in and have a go!
The club provides a supportive and caring environment for children to develop their water confidence and swimming skills and a means to bolster your child's self-confidence and self-esteem.
When and where is it held?
Friday Night Swim Club commences on Friday 12 October and the final Club is held on Friday 7 December 2018.  We break for Christmas school holidays and return in Term 1, 2019
It is held at Junction Park State School 50 Waldheim Street Annerley.  The pool is also accessible from Gowrie Street.
How do I register my child/children?
If you are a NEW member, please use our online registration form to register your child/children.  If you are RETURNING to Club Nights from 2017/18 – then we have your details.  If these have changed since you first registered, please contact us directly.
What time is Friday Night Swim Club?
Sign up from 6pm each Friday at the pool.  The swim meet commences at 6:30pm and is usually completed by 8:30pm.  Cancellations due to weather events will be communicated via our Facebook page.
How much does Friday Night Swim Club cost?
The registration fee for Friday Night Swim Club is separate to swim lessons.  The fee is a flat fee of $30 for a family.  That means if you have one child or four, the registration fee remains $30.  A family is regarded as siblings only.
How do I pay?
Payments can be made using cash at Club Night or direct deposit into the JETS Swim Club account (BSB 034013 and Account 364677).
Please use your child’s family name as reference so that payments can be tracked.
Please remember you must pay the registration fee for your child to be able to participate in Swim Club nights.  No payment = no swim.
What strokes and events are held at Swim Club nights?
All strokes are offered and race distances are at 25 yards through to 200 yards, with a kick board race for fun at the start of the night.
How do I know what the events are for each meet?

What skill level does my child need to be?
Swimmers of all ages and capabilities are encouraged and supported to reach their full potential.  Swimmers progress at their own pace and are awarded points for participation and improvement against their own personal best times - it's not about the fastest.
Is there a discount if my child already attends swimming lessons at the school?
The registration fee for Friday Night Swim Club is separate to swim lessons.
The fee is a flat fee of $30 for a family.
How can I support the Swim Club nights?

  • home bakers to supply a sweet treat for the canteen
