Enrolling at our school

We welcome new families to Junction Park State School.  Enrolling at our school is an important and exciting process. There are two simple steps to follow: 

Residing in our catchment area

Education Queensland’s online tool will assist you to determine your catchment school. Once you have determined that you reside in the Junction Park State School catchment area, you will need to demonstrate proof (eg. a current rates notice or utility bill). 

1.   The enrolment application

  • Complete the application for student enrolment form. A separate application form must be completed for each enrolling child.
  • Once these are completed, an enrolment interview with the Principal or Deputy Principal can be arranged by contacting the office on (07) 3426 4333.

2.  The enrolment interview 

Certain documents must be available for presentation at the interview. Without the correct documents, the enrolment cannot proceed. Please bring the follow items to the enrolment interview:
  • You and the children applying for enrolment
  • Each child's birth certificate
  • A current passport and visa is required for any child born overseas
  • Each child’s most recent student report card
  • Proof of residency documents (i.e. current rates notice or utility bill)
At the enrolment meeting we will:
  • discuss the details on your enrolment application
  • discuss uniforms, books and any fees payable
  • complete any other forms required, such as network usage and access form and permissions for swimming and religious instruction.
