National Tree Day

On Friday, Junction Park celebrated National Tree Day!  Thanks to all who joined in on tree day planting and celebrations.
We planted 30 trees around the school! The Butterfly Garden and the beds adjacent to the Polities Pavilion now have new trees.  The green shade cloth garden has 5 new trees, as does the Peace Garden, and we planted three shrubs behind the toilet block.  We also planted an Australian frangipani at the Gowrie Street entrance and an ANZAC grevillea was planted in the front garden.
Huge thanks to Southside Toyota for the wheelbarrows, shirts, stakes and books. Bunnings for the trees and know-how.  Thanks to John P for helping to prepare the sites and to Ruth, Mia, Tomoko, Tricia, and Ned for volunteering to help out with our planting activities.
